Grant Park is a residential development on the former Columbus Coated Fabrics manufacturing site. In 2001, CCF abandoned the site leaving behind 23-acres of worn-down buildings. Furthermore, years of factory operations contaminated the site itself.
The Weinland Park Collaborative partnered with Wagenbrenner Development (now Thrive Companies) to revive the site. At the time, the contaminated site was a major burden on the surrounding Weinland Park neighborhood. The environmental remediation and ensuing residential development has earned awards for the improvement in overall quality of life.
