Grandview Crossing Receives NALP Gold Award of Excellence
Grandview Crossing has received the National Association of Landscape Professionals Gold Award of Excellence for Commercial Installation, recognizing the landscape craft and outdoor environments that help define the 55-acre mixed-use community in Columbus, Ohio.
The award celebrates the work behind a community designed for daily life outside the walls of a home or storefront. Across Grandview Crossing, green space, plazas, walkways, gathering areas, and recreation spaces connect residents, guests, neighbors, and businesses in a setting built to feel active, useful, and welcoming.
The recognition was earned in partnership with Environmental Management, Inc., whose team helped bring the community’s landscape vision to life through a large-scale commercial installation that required detailed coordination, technical execution, and long-term care for how people move through and use the space.
Project Highlights
- 55-acre mixed-use community in Columbus, Ohio
- 3-acre central park designed for gathering, recreation, and events
- Synthetic turf dog park and pickleball court
- Extensive irrigation systems across the development
- More than 12,000 trees and plants throughout the community
- More than 38,000 square feet of pavers shaping plazas, walkways, and shared spaces
Landscape as Community Infrastructure
At Grandview Crossing, the landscape is more than a finishing layer. It is part of the community’s daily infrastructure. The central park, planted areas, dog park, pickleball court, walkways, and plazas all help create a place where people can move easily between homes, local businesses, food and beverage destinations, fitness spaces, and outdoor gathering areas.
That work matters because mixed-use communities depend on connection. A thoughtful landscape helps shape how people arrive, linger, meet neighbors, walk pets, attend events, and experience the broader neighborhood. When the outdoor environment works well, the community feels more complete.
A Partnership Built on Craft and Coordination
Large-scale landscape installation requires more than strong design intent. It takes phased coordination, material quality, irrigation planning, planting expertise, and the ability to adapt as construction conditions evolve. Environmental Management, Inc. brought that level of execution to Grandview Crossing, helping create outdoor spaces that support both everyday use and long-term community value.
Thrive Companies is proud to recognize EMI’s partnership and the many teams whose work helped shape Grandview Crossing into a place designed for people to live, work, gather, and connect.
Why This Recognition Matters
The National Association of Landscape Professionals Awards of Excellence recognize outstanding work across landscape contracting, management, and design. For Grandview Crossing, the Gold Award affirms the role of high-quality outdoor spaces in building a complete mixed-use community.
From its 3-acre park to its planted walkways and active public spaces, Grandview Crossing reflects Thrive’s belief that strong communities are shaped through details people experience every day. The award is a meaningful recognition of that work, but the real measure is how the space continues to serve the people who live, work, visit, and gather there.
